FAQs

Common Questions from Fellow Clients

How do I file a claim?

Start by calling us. We’ll talk through what happened and help you decide whether filing a claim is the best move. If it is, we’ll go through some questions to gather information, walk you through the next steps, report the incident to your carrier, and be available for guidance throughout the process.

How do I make a payment?

You can pay your bill online through the carrier’s website or phone app, mailing a check with the invoice you received, call the insurance company or our office. If you’re unsure which carrier your policy is with or where to start, give us a call and we’ll point you in the right direction.

When do I need proof of insurance?

You may be asked to provide proof of insurance when closing on or refinancing a home, registering a vehicle, signing a lease, or on renewal of your policy.

You might also get a letter in the mail from your mortgage company looking for proof of insurance on renewal.

For commercial insurance, you may need to provide proof of required insurance when sending in a bid.

If you’re not sure what’s needed, just ask. We’ll get the right documentation to the right place.

When do I need a certificate of insurance?

If you’re a business owner working with vendors, clients, or property managers, you may need a certificate of insurance to prove coverage. Reach out to your advocate. We’ll issue it promptly.

What major life events should I notify you about?

Major events like buying or selling a home, car, motorcycle, or watercraft, getting married, starting a business, having a student leaving for school, a child moving out, or adding a driver to your policy should trigger a quick insurance review. If life is changing, your coverage probably should too. We’ll help you keep it aligned.

Can I still talk to someone if I have a question?

Yes! Always. You’ll never be routed through a robot maze or left wondering who to call. Your advocate is just one phone call or message away.
